A Foodies Delight
Here are some of our favorite foods while traveling. Some are iconic to the country, some were beautifully presented and some were just delicious. Most of the foods shown have a story behind them, like the vegetarian ramen in Japan that took us two days to find. The restaurant is located in the Tokyo Station, one of the largest stations of the Tokyo metro. On our second attempt, we circled that train station for over one hour determined to find the vegetarian restaurant. Luckily, when we finally found it, it did not disappoint.
Another funny story is about the coconut coffee in Vietnam. We had no idea the coconut coffee is almost like an ice cream. We were in Hanoi on a cold, rainy day so stopped into a cozy cafe to get the famous coconut coffee. We ended up sitting outside because the inside of the cafe was full so we were really looking forward to a hot cup of coconut coffee. We were shocked when it was served cold and almost like an ice cream. It definitely didn’t help warm us up but wow, was it delicious!
